HELMUT

'Germany's finest comedian' in early 2003 and in that year played over 130 'open spots' around the country. Helmut was an instant hit, becoming a finalist in The Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition, the Metro/Evening Standard Act of the year and C4's So You Think You're Funny. Marc took Helmut to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2004 in his first full length show, Helmut's Half Hour.
'A ream of clever one-liners' Scotsman
'A towering comic intellect' Metro
'A gifted comic and writer.' Edinburgh guide
'Master of the two-liner. Extremely well-written jokes' Chortle
Helmut also performs for corporal functions and conferences. Using information supplied by the clients he offers a bespoke performance that is always guaranteed to split the British sides. Naturlich! Inefficiency, Britain's reluctance to join the EU, European policy gone mad are all grist to his Germanic mill. A hilarious act with dollops of silliness.
Helmut will also be appearing on channel 4 in August as part of their Offensive Comedy week.
MERYL O ROURKE

Meryl has been storming the UK, Irish, New York and Barcelona comedy circuits for 10 years; thrilling, delighting and disturbing people on the subjects of rice, ovaries, breasts and dead TV chefs.
She has recently done 20s at clubs including The Comedy Store,MCed ladies nights and hosted a number of pop concerts for approx 13,000 people!
She is also an accomplished broadcaster currently appearing monthly on Radio 4 with comedy series "The Hysterical Method Of Conception". This self
written self performed serial appears as part of the Woman's Hour strand and you can hear all the episodes on www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/womanshour .
Previously she has been nominated for a prestigious Sony Radio Academy Award 2003 (along with Johnny Vegas, Jonathan Ross and Mark Lamarr). and was nominated for Best Breakfast Show (against Terry Wogan) I have also presented on TV appearing in the pilot, and many editions of Liquid News for BBC.
"Meryl O'Rourke can find the disturbing side of everything!" Eastmagazine
"Fantastic" Jonathan Ross
"I'd rather see Meryl than any film" James Christopher, film critic The Times
"Probably one of the best comics I've seen on the circuit. Her material effortlessly glides through frivolous and weighty topics. All of which is delivered in an uber honest and cynically upbeat way." Chortle
JOY CARTER
Her comedy is a mixture of topical, observational and bizarre stories all sewn carefully together, effortlessly she combines gutsy political controversy with her witty, relaxed and likeable style.
It is this style and elegant attire that have seen her work for news channels, radio journalism, award ceremonies, corporate speeches and hosting events.
Joy is not afraid to talk about her personal life discussing her trans-racial overseas adoption, bullying and search for identity either on stage, at after dinner speaking events or in the media. Joy Continues to support BAAF (British Adoption and Fostering).
“Her northern Scunthorpe twang and honest style I really warmed to her. She was spontaneous, eccentric and a true individual unafraid of enjoying herself and being different” BBC Home Counties review, Amy Rich
‘Slightly crackers, always laughing and unusually hyperactive’ Alec Jackson, member of the audience at the Comedy Store
‘ It’s refreshing to discover someone so capable of delivering an intelligent and engaging performance without having to depend on a range of expletives and crude connotations.” Women’s Breakfast, Sheffield Churches

ROBERT WHITE

Robert is a superbly original and funny comedian who is rising rapidly up the live comedy slope. From his first flushes of comic promise that acquired his placements and awards in prestigious new act competitions he has quickly moved on to build greater success and now, as a sought after performer, has an original comic gift that has been seen in many clubs across the country, praised by press, fellow comic and punter alike and even featured at the Edinburgh festival in an exclusive guest spot in Arthur Smiths ARTUART theatre show.
Robert’s seemingly un-assured appearance belies the assuredness of his words. Material derives from his abstract perspective with wordy and sometimes cruel humour, spontaneous musicality, obscure performance pieces and semi-improvised abstract off-shoots. It’s a collection of pockets of randomness.
‘….a funny and brave act that exists in the hitherto unmapped space between the music hall comedies of Noel Gay, and autistic savantism’ Featured in Timeout, London , May 2008
'However, the evening belonged to the precociously talented Robert White. With his quickfire wit and relentless energy reminiscent of Lee Evans, he had the audience in the palm of his hand. This very gifted young man is surely destined for great things, and justifiably so.' By Courtney King, Brighton Argus July 2008
‘Robert White, probably – no definitely – the only asperger (socially autistic), dyslexic, cross lateral, gay, quarter-welsh, ex-con, webbed toed comedian the circuit’ The Guardian
‘Very Funny fantastic oddball’ Tim Arthur, Timeout
‘Robert White stole the show. Robert White gave a stunning set – nervous, edgy and with an Eddie Izzard-style stream of consciousness which was original & refreshing. His delivery and material were quick-fire and highly intelligent ….’ Brighton Argus Aug/07

Voted 'Best New Comedian' On ITV,
The Frank Skinner Show
First Impressions-Avalon
Booked to impersonate Michael Caine at corporate events for companies such as Microsoft, Saatchi & Saatchi, Asda etc.
"On came Drew Cameron - original, madcap, with a good script and a natural talent for ludicrous impression hybrids. David Beckham as the Clash doing Should 1 Stay or Should 1 Go was a corker, as was his opener, Ozzy Osbourne as Chubby Checker. Proof indeed that quality, well thought-out routines can still get a crowd going." The Stage March 2004
